Another brand new offering at Center Ground Studios...Better Than Wine Workshops! These are workshops for adults the goal of which is to offer a comfortable, approachable, safe space to gather and connect around a fun art process. Of all the new classes we're offering this series is the one that can take on the most fluidity. Think of it as kind of a book-club but with an art spin. It could morph into many different opportunities for all the varying levels of interest and skill out there. First of all, if you're already thinking, "I'm the least creative person on the planet, just give me that glass of wine," you're in luck...these workshops do not require any artistic talent whatsoever. (And you can still BYOB!) We have tailored them all to be extremely approachable, so no talent required. In fact nothing is really required of you if you sign up for these classes except just showing up with an open, curious mind, a kind heart, and a need for connection. And now if you're thinking, "Well, this sounds touch-feely...is this going to be touchy-feely??" Again, no. The idea behind these workshops is simple. First, we wanted a way to showcase all the talented artisans in our community. Most of the workshops will feature a guest artist/instructor. Secondly, we know there is a need for this! The world we live in is complicated. Our attention is so divided especially those of us who work full-time, raise families, and also attempt to have a social life. It is very challenging to remember that how we care for ourselves and how we maintain presence in the moment (even the craziest moments) is our path to finding joy and connection.
